Fortunately, Elrina spent her early years as a tuition teacher, a role that demanded clarity, patience, and the ability to think on her feet. These skills have proven invaluable in her current work, especially when navigating deadlines, managing documents, or breaking down legal processes for clients who may be feeling overwhelmed or unfamiliar with legal terms.

During her university years, Elrina gained practical experience with attachments at the Penang High Court and a local law firm, which helped build her confidence in court procedures and legal drafting early on.

In practice, Elrina focuses on conveyancing and non-contentious legal matters. She drafts Sale and Purchase Agreements for land, prepares Share Sale Agreements, and advises clients through various stages of property and commercial transactions. She also manages probate and letters of administration and other ex parte court matters, delivering work with precision and care.

Her warm and clear communication style, paired with fluency in multiple languages makes her approachable to clients from all backgrounds. Known for her calm, friendly manner and good listening skills, Elrina has a way of making even complex legal matters feel a little less intimidating. Man Fei is a dispute resolution lawyer with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation, asset recovery and strategic risk advisory. He has acted for both corporate entities and individuals in complex matters involving boardroom tussles, shareholder disputes ranging from hostile take-overs, oppression actions, derivative actions, breach of fiduciary duties, just and equitable winding-up. He also has experience in handling corporate and personal insolvency for debt recovery matters.

His portfolio also includes experience in landlord-tenancy disputes and construction-related claims. In this regard, he has acted for property owners, tenants, and contractors in navigating both contentious and non-contentious issues ranging from advisory, contractual breaches and risk management.

Fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, and Cantonese, he places strong emphasis on communicating in the client’s own language and tone, ensuring that clients feel understood, empowered, and well-represented throughout the legal process.

Kelly is engaged in civil litigation, with a focus on commercial, shareholder, and contractual disputes, as well as matters involving fraud and asset recovery.

She has been involved in a range of contentious matters, including applications for injunctive relief, financial fraud, debt recovery, tenancy disputes and strata management issues. Her experience spans proceedings before all levels of the Malaysian courts.

Beyond litigation, Kelly is also involved in advisory work for companies, providing practical legal guidance to assist clients in navigating legal risks and support their decision-making process.

She graduated with First-Class Honours in Law from Multimedia University (MMU), and completed her pupillage under the guidance of Mr. Gideon Tan and Mr. Brian Ernest Cumming. She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in September 2023.

Joanne is a litigator whose practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation. She plays an active role in contentious matters, including applications for Mareva Injunction and Anton Piller Order. She has assisted appeared in Court on matters involving contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, fraud and corporate misconduct.

She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) from the University of Reading in 2021. She completed her Bar Training Course, followed by a Master of Laws (LL.M) from BPP University, Manchester in 2022. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple in 2022.

Before joining Messrs Gideon Tan Razali Zaini, she gained valuable exposure through internships at two litigation firms in Sandakan, Sabah. Eager to challenge herself further, she made the decision to relocate to West Malaysia to begin her legal career. She applied for and secured a position for pupillage at the firm under the tutelage of Mr. Gideon Tan and Mr. Brian Ernest Cumming.

She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 15 March 2024 and commenced practice with the firm as an Associate.

Nadhirah’s passion for real estate began at a young age, growing up, she was drawn to property shows on HGTV and spent countless hours designing homes and managing virtual neighbourhoods in The Sims. What began as a childhood fascination with spaces and structure naturally evolved into a professional interest in property law, where she now channels that same enthusiasm into helping clients navigate the complexities of real estate transactions and projects.

Known for her clear communication, meticulous execution, and strong attention to detail, she is actively involved in a wide range of real estate and conveyancing matters, with growing exposure to corporate and commercial transactions.

Her current practice encompasses acting for developers’ projects, individual purchasers, and corporate clients in real estate transactions. In addition to this, her calm and empathetic demeanour also makes her well-suited to probate and estate matters, where sensitivity to family dynamics and inheritance issues is essential.

Outside of work, Nadhirah enjoys attending plays, supporting local films, and exploring art galleries. Her appreciation for storytelling through various mediums and the human experience informs her approach to law, particularly in matters requiring empathy, discretion, and a nuanced understanding of both personal and commercial motivations.

Hoping to learn from a hardcore litigation team, Alif Ashraf began his journey with the firm as a pupil and was initially prepared to move on upon completion of his pupillage. However, things took an unexpected turn when a long-standing client personally asked the Founding Partner to retain him. The client had worked with him on a post-winding up matter and was impressed with how he navigated complex and contentious issues such as applying to remove negligent liquidators and assessing their exorbitant fees. That experience ended up securing him a place on the team.

Today, Alif Ashraf is one of the firm’s litigation lawyers, focusing on both civil and commercial litigation. One of his most challenging cases involved taking over a contentious appeal covering nearly every serious commercial tort imaginable. This includes breach of confidence, trademark infringement, passing-off, conspiracy to injure, unlawful interference with trade, and breach of directors’ duties. It was the kind of case that required sharp legal thinking, attention to detail, and composure under pressure, all of which he continues to refine in his practice.

For Alif Ashraf, it’s all about being genuine and giving his all. Having worked with both individual and corporate clients, he brings the same level of care and attention to each case, whether it is particularly complex or heavily contentious. These days, he is trusted to manage matters with minimal supervision, and he takes pride in being both dependable and capable.

Alif Ashraf’s experiences as a spirited rugby player and an avid volunteer have helped him remain calm and poised in the demanding field of litigation.
